Cemos

Cemos is a cloud-based digital platform developer, based in Liverpool. Cemos use their platform to create mobile applications that are tailored for health, fitness and wellbeing.

The business needed funding of £150,000 for growth purposes, and needed solid forecasts to be successful in their applications for this funding.

Chris Mitchell, Director of Cemos, met with George at the MSIF Finance Hub, to work on his forecasts and ensure they were ready to be presented to funding providers.

George was able to use the forecasts to test whether the business would still be investment ready if various sensitised scenarios became reality.

Via a combination of Chris’s and George’s figures, management and investment cases were finalised, the latter highlighted how long CEMOS could trade for at reduced revenue levels, without using up all of the investment money within a short period of time.

The work the Finance Hub did with CEMOS was able to demonstrate to a potential investor that even if the business performed at a lower level than the management case planned, the business still didn’t run out of cash, and could still keep going with the sensible business adjustments that had been prepared.

Cemos then applied for funding, and received an offer of £150,000 of equity funding from MSIF.
